We're the Only Show in Town!

| Belly’s Mountain View Inn, originally
established as Safford’s Grand View Cottage in the 1890’s,
has had a storied history in the community. |
|
Belly’s patrons and friends are
a varied group. Firstly, there is the core group of local patrons whom
frequent Belly’s regularly for food, drink and fellowship. The
summer crowd grows as the seasonal residents who own camps around Mountain
View Lake and Indian Lake venture into town and enjoy their summer.
Autumn brings great fall foliage to the area and with it the “Leaf
Peepers.” Autumn also brings the White Tail Deer Hunters to enjoy
the Adirondack hunting experience.
When Mother Nature switches gears and
adorns the area with snow, Belly’s provides a destination for
snowmobilers from all over the northeast. The old railroad line (now
owned by National Grid) provides the main groomed corridor for them
to travel on and it passes within 100 yards of Belly’s.
